Fogia's upholstered furniture workshop.

Founded in 1991, Fogia's upholstered furniture workshop is home to highly skilled craftspeople who employ both traditional methods and the most advanced equipment. Formerly a carpentry shop, the factory has been completely renovated and includes a sawmill, a joinery, an upholsterer's shop, a sewing shop and today includes a separate bedmaking department.

All pieces are built individually using artisanal methods. It takes nearly as long to produce some of the larger Atljé sofas as it does to build an average-sized family car.

Fogia's wooden furniture workshop.

Founded in 1943. The workshop currently has some 20 employees, many of whom have worked there all their lives. Fogia's carpenters specialise in solid wood furniture and have the finest modern equipment including laser-guided cutters at their disposal. The best of traditional craftsmanship is thus backed up by modern technology. Lumber is carefully chosen in the forest and milled by Fogia staff in the company's own sawmill. Milled cherrywood is imported from the finest cultivators in the U.S.

Fogia's wood experts check the timber when it's still in the forest.Only when a tree has been approved is it shipped to the factory for milling.
